En partant de St Auban, on monte par le Pouzet, on passe à proximité de la grotte de l’Ours puis on arrive au col de Corbière (1091 m) où on laisse la montagne de Vanige (1391 mètres) au nord. Certains ont rapproché le nom de cette montagne du culte d’un dieu gaulois, Baginus, et de déesses, les Baginatae, connus grâce à plusieurs inscriptions gallo-romaines conservées dans l’église de Sainte-Jalle. Baginus serait le dieu assimilé à Jupiter qui garde les hauts sommets.

Saint-Arey's church Rosans
The former Saint Arey Church, bishop of Gap, was built in the 7th century. Only the bell tower is a reminder of its religious vocation.

The community leads a monastic life in the school of Saint Benedict. A simple, family-style welcome is offered to pilgrims, retreatants, priests, chaplaincy groups, nuns' families and various camps.

The Col de Pommerol, or Col de la Fromagère, is a crossing point between the Hautes-Alpes and Drôme departments. It is accessible via the Crête du Suquet and Crête de Raton trails. The pass overlooks the Eygues national forest.

The Ladoucette Fountain Rosans
This building commemorates the Baron Jean-Charles-François de Ladoucette, named as prefect of the Hautes-Alpes by Napoléon the 1st, in 1802. he initiated the construction of the roads which cover the department today.
The church of Saint-Jacques le Majeur Rosans
The present parish church was built outside the village in 1850, in a neo-classic style. The vault collapsed on the day following the mass, which had been pronounced on the occasion of the death of General De Gaulle, in 1970.
